Ukraine's Victory at ICOA 2026
Ukraine’s National Cybersecurity Team delivered a triumphant performance at the International Cybersecurity Olympiad in AI (ICOA 2026) in Sydney, Australia. The Ukrainian team once again confirmed its high level of training and the well-deserved recognition of our cybersecurity school on the world stage.
The team was formed based on the results of the All-Ukrainian selection and included: Roman Mielamud, Oleksandr Petrenko, Polina Proskurnia, and Mykyta Sukovach. Thanks to intensive preparation within the ecosystem of Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute and the dcua team, the participants earned a number of prestigious awards. Under the guidance of coaches Andrii Voitsekhovskyi and Maksym Hinkul, the team delivered brilliant results: Roman Mielamud won gold in the overall standings and silver in the Pioneer Round, Oleksandr Petrenko took bronze (finishing in the top 5 of the Pioneer Round), and Mykyta Sukovach also brought the team a well-earned bronze medal.
The Ukrainians’ achievements have already caught the attention of international media, including the Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organizations and The Sydney Morning Herald.
